Tho Minister for Trade and Commerce, Mr 11. H. Stevens, has announced that the House of Commons will be given a statement,, regarding the position of Canada in respect to the New Zealand Treaty in tho course of a few days. It is unofficially reported that the Government may suggest delay until after the Imperial Conference. COMMENT WITHHELD. [From Our Parliamentary Reporter-] WELLINGTON, March 10. The cabled news from Canada to-day suggesting that tho trade agreement, the major terms of which were arranged at the Honolulu discussions recently, would not be ratified until the whoio fabric of Empire tariffs had been reviewed at the Ottawa Confercnco in July, was referred this evening to the Hon. AV. Downio Stewart, Who declined to. comment at this stage.
