WAGES AND PURCHASING POWER.
• TO THE EDITOR Or THI fSKU.' Sir,—ln reply to ''Lux" on "Wages and Purchasing Power," I would venture to point out that if there be 303 available for wages, the workers will spend 30s whether two obtain 15s each, or whether three get 10s each. Some of the advantages of three getting 10s each are these: 1. The work done may leave a margin of profit for the employer. 2. The extra men will no longer swell - the ranks of the unemployed.—Yours, C COMMON SENSE. March 10th, 1932.
