The preparatory work for the Imperial Economic Conference in July at Ottawa is proceeding in a promising manner. The Council >pf the Canadian Manufacturers' Association reports that word from various parts of Canada indicates that manufacturers are waiting expectantly for the proclamation of the trade agreement between Canada and New Zealand, the announcement of which is expected shortly. The Association is co-opcrating in the establishment of a committee which will endeavour to increase Canadian trade ivith New Zealand. A considerable increase in the sale of Australian products in Canada as a result of the trade agreement between the two Dominions is reported.
