M. BRIAND'S CAREER.

With the characteristic bitterness pf French politics the newspapers who opposed M Aristide Briand's policy heap scorn and abuse upon the dead statesman. The Royalist, M. Leon Daudet, m "li"Action Franeaise," denounces h irn as the creator of the Treaty of Locarno, and declares that he was a traitor, and should have been shot.
On news being received of the death of M. Aristide Briand the French flag was hoisted at half-mast yesterday, at the office of Mr Geo. Humphreys, Consular Agent for France.
