LINWOOD AVENUE SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
The monthly meeting of the Linwood Avenue School Committee was held on Tuesday. Present: Messrs L. E. Vernazoni (chairman), R. X). Brown, H. Petrie, F. S. Gimblett, W. Jones, H. Butterfield, W. Biel, 3. Itailton, J. B. Ives uion. secretary), and Cf. Ormandy (headmaster). • The headmaster's report stated • that in Bpite of a (-light epidemic o£ whooping cough the attendance (had kept up remarkably well.. The average attendance for. the month was 91 per cent. The roll number v.-as 6CB. ,J?he. Visiting: Committee, reported that it had visited the various class-rooms, and commended the staff on the efficiency shown. Several minor, repairs were recommended. The Works Committee reported that the new basketball court had been completed ard that several ground improvements were in course of completion. Messrs Ives a,nd Gimblett -were appointed a Visiting Committee for March.
