REGENT THEATRE.
"OVER THE HILL." A picture of 'mother love and poignant drama, "Over the Hill," now at the Regent, should appeal to everybody. Mrs Selby. who is troubled by a well-intentioned but indolent husband, has three sons- Isaac is a fawning hypocrite, who succeeds for the most part in cloaking his evil ways; lorn is well-meaning, and Johnny is of sterling worth, though continually bearing the punishment for the acts of others. The characters of these three we developed from infancy, and at the same time there is ehows the gradual change in the mother. Johnny goes to gaol to save his father just when he has won the love of a flaxen-haired girl and the mothbr is passed on by the other nous, until she finally goes to the Johnny returns to give Isaac his just pun ishment and to provide a happy endin o .
