.♦- . ; I SUMNER CLUB. i A meeting of the of the Sumner Amateur Athletic Club was held on Monday) whenthere were present: Messrs' P. Diclc (chairman), M. Willis, E'. W. Bishop, J. I?. Bainford, O. L. Allen, L. Wiggins, and R. H. Neville. .. The. secretary stated that Mr J. Browne had given ■.'• another' Sumner Old Boys' Cup for the IOOydB handicap race, to replace; that won outright last year by G.' Murray. Tha now trophy, .would be' a challenge cup, and could not be won outright. • It was reported that the suggested date of the inter-borough contest was April 2nd, at New Brighton, but definite arrangements had still to be mpde. . The programme for the final meeting of the yea#, to be held on- Saturday next, at' St. Leonard's square.' was arranged as "follows: Senior Men—r-lOOyds .Old Boys; 440 yds Weastell Cup, Long Jump, and High Jump Junior Men——22oyds, and Shot Put. . Ladies-T-120yds, Hop, Step, and Jump. Schoolboys—44oyds Schoolgirls—looyds. Mixed relay. All the events are to r be decided oil handicap, and at the conclusion of the meeting the club championship cups will' be presented. , ' .
