CYCLIST'S DEATH.
▼ CHARGE AGAINST MAORI. (PBESS ASSOCIATION TILEQBUt.) HAWERA, March 8. Pikau Pokau, aged 21, was to-day committed for trial on a charge of recklessly driving a motor-car, thereby causing the death of Reginald Ernest Duggan, aged 18, on February 26th. Duggan was riding a bicycle to hishome at Normanby after attending • the Hawera Jubilee celebrations, when a collision with Pokau, occurred on the outskirts of Hawera. • The inquest was held conjointly with the Lower Coart proceedings, the verdict of the Coroner* Mr R. S. Sage, being that Duggan's death resulted from injuries received when struck by a car driven byPokau*
