THEFT OF JEWELLERY

(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.) " WELLINGTON, March 7. Jewellery worth hundreds of pounds was stolen in a daring robbery carried out on the third floor of tho Dominion Building yesterday morning, or late on Saturday night. The thief or thieves entered the premises of Dolmonte and Patience, Ltd., and took from showcases a considerable amount of valuable goods. The theft was not discovered until yesterday 'afternoon, and a full-in-ventory of the stock had not been made late last evening, therefore the amount stolen has n.ot yet been actually ascertained, but it is- confidently believed that the amount will run into several liundreda -of pounds.
