YESTERDAY'S TRANSACTIONS. There was s moderate turnover on call yesterday, with the bulk of the dealings on the-afternoon- call. Unsupported sellers of Now Zealand Government, 4-V per cent. Tax Free Stock, due 1938, and 1939, reduced their limits to £92 17s 6d; 5i per cent., 1936 Stock, was easier, with business at £97 12s 6d; 5i per cent., 1937 Bonds were firm, with dealings- at £9B and £9B 2s 6d, market closing £97 los buyers, £9B 5s sellers. ' Commercial Bank of Australia shares relapsed to 13s lid, closing quotations Id on either side. Sellers of Commercial Bank of Sydney came down to £l4 10s, buyers at £l3 10s. National Bank of New Zealand shares eased business at £3 7s 6d, closing quotations Is 6d on either side. Bank of New Zealand shares realised 42s 6d, sellers staving in. at that figure, buyers at 425" 4d. Sellers of Union Bank of Australia shares reduct-d their limits to 18s, buyers at £6 12s 6d. Miscellaneous. Buyers of P. and O. Deferred Stock moved up to 23s 3d, sellers at 28s New Zealand Refrigerating, £l paid shares, changed hands at 9s 7d ana 9s 9d, market closing 9s bd buyers, 10s sellers. New ; Zealand Breweries shares were weaker, with sellers at 23s 2d, buyers at 22s 6d. Australian Glass shares hardened to 29s 6d buyers, 31s sellers. Henry Jones Co-op. buyers moved up to 24s 9d without attracting sellers. New Zealand Drug Company shares were stronger on buyers offers 4-6s 3d, sellers at 47s Golden Dawn Gold Mining shares advanced to dealings at 6s lOd and 10id, market closing 6s 10d buyeis, 6s lid sellers. King Solomons showeu little variation, with dealings at as sid, and further sellers at that- P ri °®> buvers at ls'B*d. Mahakipawa Gold--fields shares changed hands at 2£d ant 2d. closing quotations 2d buyers j sellers. Oliaritos were firm; with Bellas and business at 9s sd, buyers at 9s 4d. SYDNEY. There was a restricted turnover of business on the Sydney Stock Exchange yesterday, and Commonwealth Bonds were again lower. More optimistic reports from England encouraged buyers and sellers of pastoral stocks to raise their limits; Colonial Sugars were lieayily traded, the early sales being at £4O 7s 6d, and the closing sales at £4O 15s. Brewery and gas shares were easier.

The grading figures of the Dairy Division, Department of Agriculture, for, the seven months ended February, 1932, show an increase for butter of 5.84 per cent, at 79,071 tons (74,706) ■ and for cheese a decrease of 7.05 per cent, at 02,528 tons (67,271) as compared with the corresponding period law season. • Reduced to terms of butter-fat equivalent, there is to date an increase of 2.768 per cent.
