INTRODUCTION OF PARASITE. (FEISS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) 1 NELSON, March 7. An important development of New Zealand interest is the safe arrival at the Gawthron Institute of the first consignment of a parasite to use against •the New Zealand grass grub. This parasite "was found attacking philean grass grubs by Dr. D. Miller during his expedition to South America, and its possible value to New Zealand was at', once recognised. Brother Claude Joseph, a leading Chilean biologist, had, been studying the biology of thuj grass grub parasite and was responsible* for secur-: mg and shipping the present consignment of parasites.
