There was very little movement of the barometer. which was steady last night at 29.9j. Wellington—The Weather yesterday was fine hiis overcast at times. A light wind blew from the soatb. * Dunedin—The weather was sunny and pleasant yesterday, with- a fresh hreeze from t ;„, north-east. The barometer fell during the day, but was rising last night and registered 30.30. Forecast. General Situation—A • tropical disturbance is still centred ribrth-north-east of _ New Mtkr. land, while pressure is very high in the south. A shaUo* westerly depression is advancing across the south' Tasman Sea. . Winds —South-easterly in and north of Cook Strait, and stroilg to gale force in places, «ast to north over the South ißland, and moderate but freshening.
