It is designed to produco 1,096,000,000 dollars additional revenue for the fiscal year* 1933. . ■ Among many exceptionally severe provisions arc: — A 2k per cent, tax on manufactures; A sale tax on most commodities except necessities; An increase in income taxes; - A special excise tax on telegraph, telephone, cable, and radio messages.
