Auckland—Fine summer weather and light, variable winds prevailed during the week-end, l>ut the slcy was overcast and threatening last evening. Wellington—The weather in Welfington was fine fof the week-end. Saturday was generovercast, and there was a Bhort shower during the afternoon. Sunday was mild, with sunshine and passing cloudß. The wind blew from the south, Dunedin—The weathor was dull and overcast in Dunedin on Saturday, with a light breeze from the south-west. The barometer rose during the day and registered 30.35 on Saturday night. Sunday was fine and sunny, ■with a fresh breeze from the north-east. Tht barometer was steady at SO.SOin. Forecast. General Situation—Since yesterday the anti-cyc'ionn over the South Island has increased slightly in intensity. A deep depression is _ passing 'Tasmania, while then* are indications of a disturbance between northern New Zealand and the Pacific lalands. Winds—Moderate to strong north of Cape Campbell and Farewell Spit; elsewhere light but freshening, south-east generally, but back' ing gradually to betwoen cast and, north. Seas (S.Z. waters) —Rather rough aboat Cook Strait and on the Kast Coast of the Xorth Island; elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasmsn Sea—Fresh east to north winds; seas moderate, but rising in the northern portion. Weather —Fair at first over ths South Island and in the western and central portions of the North Island; elsewhere nnsettled, with rain developing gradually and extending southwards.
