_ Dr. J. Hight, Sector of Canterbury University College, was a passenger from tlae North Island bv this morning's ferry. Archbishop Julius has returned to Christchurch after an extensive motor tour of the West Coast and Queen Charlotte Sound districts. Mr W. C. Tish, managing director of the Bell Hill Gold Sluicing. Company, has left for a short trip to the West Coast. Messrs T. D. Burnett, M.P., and E. J. Howard, M.P., arrived from Wellington yesterday morning. Dr. H. G. Denham, Professor of Chemistry at Canterbury College, and a member of the Economy Commission, arrived from the north yesterday. The Bt. Bev. F. A. Bennett, Bishop of Aotea-Eoa, was a passenger from the north by yesterday's ferry. The Hon. E. Scott, M.L.C., arrived from Wellington yesterday. Mr G. D, White Parsons, A.M.1.C.E.. of Lyttelton, is now on the technical staff of the London Electric Bailways, and is engaged on work in connexion with the extensions to the Piccadilly Tube Bailway.

Mr E. K. Murphy, of Napier, is stay ing at Warner's Hotel.

Mr B. Perkins (Wellington) is a visitor at the United Servic'e Hotel.
