In its latest bulletin, the Auckland Automobile Association quotes his Excellency the Governor-General's recent protest against the disfigurement of the countryside by advertising hoardings. Apart from the major question, mention is made of the notices that are displayed on bridges, trees and milkstands for the banning of which the Association is seeking the co-opera-tion of the counties.
