Auckland—A very light nortli-eaft wind and ideal summer conditions prevailed yesterday. There was very little movement in the l.aioraeter, vhicli registered 30.20 in. AVcllinKtoii—The weather was fine yesterday, although overcast for a time; a gusty northerly in the afternoon dropped toward the evening. Duncijin—The weather wn» cloudy but fine .vosterday, with a light westerly breeze. The maximum temperature was 77>degrees. Tha barometer fell during the day, hut was rising last night, and registered 29.80. Forecast. General Situation—The recent anti-cyolono is ri oving off northern New Zealand while a sLullow depression is crossing the South Island. ' Winds—Moderate to strong north to west prevailing from Canterbury northwards; but
a change'' to south-west advancing rapidly from the South. Seas (New Zealand waters)— Rather rough at times south ot Cape Egmont and offshore south of Castlepoint; otherwise smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea —Variable and moderHt»> winds; seas moderate.
