A wireless message received ifi Sydney states that the British steamer Templo Pier is ashore close to Piper Island light, on the North Queensland coast, about 100 miles south of Thursday Island. The message added that assistance was" not required. [The Temple Pier is a steel screw steamer of 4312 tons, built in 1928, and owned by the Templo Steamship Co., Ltd.] , THE WAINUI. f The W-ainui is timed to arrive at Lytlelton on April 2nd from Melbourne via Bluff and Dunedin.
