Tlie Revenue Department -Estimates amount to £60,800,000, a decrease of £8,688,000. The net increase is £5,803,000. Among the . increases are the following J'- £ Ministry of Labour ... 7,775,000 Old-age pensions ... 1,348,000 Widows' pensions 1,000,000 Empire Marketing Board ... 46,000 There ig an interesting decrease in the Government Hospitality Fund, being I§,OOP instead of £47,000. The' beet sugar subsidy is £2,150,000 instead of £§,000,000. Tho cost of Dominions' services is estimated at £99,000, an increase of £17,000. Estimates for the Army and the Air Fprce for 1931 show important under individual heeds. In the Amy, the principal savings ar§ op suppli§s, transport, pay, and clothing, jnade possible largely by the fall in prices and the cost qf living. The net estimate for civil aviation is £470,000.
