IN THE , MATTER 0£ "The Electric Power Boards Act 1925" and of "Tho Local Budios Loans Atit 1020." \ PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that THE BPRIN QS -BLLESMERE ELECTRIC POWER BOARD ill pursuance and exercise o£ the powers conferred on it by "The Electric Power Boards Act, 1925," "The Local Bodies Loans Act 1928" and ''The Local Government Loans Board Act 1926" and the amendments thereof and the Regulations made thdreubder intends to raise a special loan of TWENT2-ITVE THOUSAND POUNDS (£25,060) for the purpose of purchasing the Tai Tapu Dairy Company Limited's reticulation and the Public Works lines and the construction Of electrical works Within the power district as defined in "The Electric Power Boards Act, 1925" and its amendments. Pursuant to the consent to the raising of the Loan given by the Local Government Loans Board at 'et meeting of that Board held on the Bth day of February 1931 the loan will bo raleed in the following manner:— (a) Sixteen thousand pounds (£16,000) in such instalments'as may be required. (b) Nine thousand pounds . (S9OWJ) only upon resubmission to the Local Government Loans Board and with . that Board's approval. The proposed security for the; payment of interest, sinking fund, and othor charges oil the, said loan. is a special rate of'eS.lOODt'is of a penny iti the pound upon the rateable value ,<on the basis of the Capital value) of ali rateable property in tho constituent districts of Ellesmere County, Springs County, Selwyn County,HqlsWell Cottnty, Paparua Oounty,. Malvern. County, Leeston Townv District) and Southbridge Town District within the Sprlngs-Ellesmere Electric Power District. It is proposed to pay out of the Loan moneys the cost of falsing the Loan andthe .preliminary expenses involved; It is not pro* posed to pay interest or sinking fund charges out of the Loan itself.
