BANKS PENINSULA R.C.
TO-DAY'S PROGRAMME.
The Banks Peninsula Racing Club's Autumn Meoting, to be held at Motukarara to-day,' promises to attract a large assemblage of racegoers from all parts of the district. The fields are reasonably large in each event, and class is well represented. 'The recent rain has ensured a thick growth of grass on the track, and the going will be in splendid order. - A special train will leave Christchurch at 11.15 a.m., stopping at Addington, Sockburn, Hornby, and Lincoln, and will return from Motnkarara at 6.5 p.m. The programme will be 1 carried out as under:— 1 p.m.— ■ MOTUKABABA JUVENILE STAKES, Of 100 sova. In any case, the field will be an unwieldy one and much will depend on'the fortunes of contestants over the initial stages. Over half of the likelv runners will be making their first appearances under silk, and as there is no outstanding candidate amongst those who have raced, speculation will take a wide range.
