CRIMINAL SESSIONS.

At the Hamilton Supreme Court this morning, Alexander Geson and Russell William James Henry, for forgery and uttering'at Botorua, were each placed on probation for two years. Alan David Mcßoger, for theft of £4, a cheque, wallet, and stamps from ' Bishopscourt, Hamilton, was admitted to probation for three years. John Lynch,.for attempted breaking and entering at Morrinsville, v was sentenced to twelve months' hard labour. Joseph Folard Tattam, for indecent assault, was admitted to probation for one year. His Honour said that the sentence was unusual, but the case was also unusual. Bernard Walker, a native, for forgery, theft and false pretences, was sentenced to two terms of two and one term'of three years' reformative detention, the sentences to be concurrent. On a charge of having received the butter,.Andrew Wedderspoon was fined &100, plus the coßts of the prosecution, payable in instalments of £5 a month, in default six months imprisonment with, hard labour. Jack Gprdon was-sentenced, to twelve i months',, imprisonment' for.-,tie theft Of i jewellery £rom a house Carterton. .
