ADDINGTON MARKET.
STORE LAMBS FIRMER. STORE SHEEP SELL DRAfcGINGLY (S3 008 COMMEBCIAX. EDITOB.) There was a better sale for store lambs at the weekly metropolitan market at Addington yesterday, but the adult sheep sale showed no improvement on last week. It was a very dragging sale throughout, with competition limited. There were sheep forward from the North Island, Blenheim, and the Chatham Islands. ' The medium sorts in the store lamb section sold at an advance on last week of up to Is a head. The entry of fat lambs was smaller than at recent markets, and the auction was a brisk one, without any-quotable advance in values, but there was a firmer tone in the market, especially for butchers' sorts. An average entry of fat sheep sold irregularly with- little change on late rates. - fat cattle also sold irregularly, but prices ruling at the last market were maintained.
STORE SHEEP. The offering of store sheep was heavier than it was the previous week, and it again consisted almost entirely of oSves. The quality generally- y/a,s very plain, with many pens of old and backward ewes. There was, a good attendance of farmers, but the throughout was very dull, with values much on a par with-those ruling a week ago, bn* a little firmer than those at the Amberley ewe fair on Monday .< Vendors met tho market fairly well at the low prices, and passings were trot numerous.'- Well-bred two-tooths were in fair demand, and som? 'lines sold well One draft of just over 800 Corriedales entered by H. M.
