HEOPENING SCHEME. BOARD'S CONCERN AT DELAY. Dissatisfied at the delay on the . part of the Government in giving soine indication of its intentions reg&rding a subsidy on a, scheme of providing a s&tiiff factory outlet for Lake Ellesmere, members of the Eilesmere Lands Drainage Board decidod, yesterday, that Mr F. Miller should interview the Minister for Public Works (the Son. W, B, Taverner) on the subject; Qome time ago the Board applied for a Government subsidy of to, &\ on a .scheme, oosting i»P to <£3ooo, to j>re-> vent the lands round about the lake from becoming flooded. The Minister was to iave made an inspection of the lake on February 10th, but was unable to do so.
