NAVY LEAGUE SEA CADET CORPS.
- The Navy League Sea Cadet .Volunteer Corps paraded, about 40 strong, on Cranmer square on. Thursday evening for ceremonial drill. It was the first parade held izl Naval- "uniform, and' onlookers commented on the' smart appearance and good-drilling of the lads. On each .SaturcUy crews are detailed for instruction ""in "sailing and rowing, the former op the R.N.V.B, Ship Deveron, the latter .on the river Avon. , Op Sunday last 18 boys proceeded to Lyttelton by fail. A visiV to 'H.M.S. .Laburnum was,projected, but her arrival 'being postponed, this'will take place,on Sunday next, ' The boys went by sea to •Corsair Bay instead,> And spent an - ;en- ' joyable afternoon; The examination for promotion/from' ordinary to able" seaman, and that for produced-good results.
