Having o lead of 250 runs, with live wickets in hand, West Indie* is, in a strong position in the last Teat match with Australia. Play was continued to-day "in dull weather, the wicket was easy, and the outfield heavy; after rain.

The remaining Australian batsmen batted well, particularly bright, Roaah and Martin commenced soundly for West Indies, the former penetrating the covers with flashing drives to the fence. Headley and Grant also batted in good style. Although the light was bad, the West Indies captain, Grant, decided to make the runs, as rain was threatening.
