CHRISTCHURCH FIGURES. The decrease in importations continues to ]>e reflected in decreased net' Customs duties collected at Ohriatchurch. Last month, as compared with February, 1980, there wbb £27,8,32 less collected., Jn. the , financial year 1930-31 so far. there have been four occasions when the monthly decrease, as compared . with the corresponding month's of 1929-80, has been greater, as follows: • ' ' S, July, 1930 .. .. 45,940 September, 1930 .» , .. 36,278 Novomber, 1930 .. ,33,847 January, 1931 ~ ' .. 30,948
The. decrease in net- Customs duties for the. financial year . 1930.31 so .far. amounts to £211,444; and for the calendar year so -l'ar £58,780. Beer .diity for the financial year is £5848 less, and for, tfie calendar year'£Bl2o less. The' ineat export levy for the financial year showS! tin increase' of £BO6, 'and .for the calendar . year. of ,£IBS.
