Auckland—Sunny weather yesterday mornins was followed by, a dull afternoon, and towards evening light rain fell. Tho barometer waa steady during the day at SOin. The wind waa light froiu the south-west. Dunedin—The weather was fine and pleasant in Duuedin yesterday, with a light wind from the south-east. The maximum temperatnre was 68 degrees. Tho barometer showed little movement, the reading last evening being 29.85. Wellington- I —lt was cloudy and calm at Wellington yesterday morning, but the afternoon was beautifully sunny, although n light southerly tended to cool the otmosphoro. .forecast.. . - General Situation—A moderate anti-cyclone covered . New Zealand'yesterday, but a now and rather deep depression reached Tasmania, and shortly will be affecting the Dominion. Winds—Moderate south-westerlies prevailing- north of Kawhia and Napier; elsewhere winds veering to northerlies and freshening.
Seas (New Zealand waters) —Smooth to moderate generally, .but later rising about Cook and i'oveaux Straits Tasman Sea—Freshening northerly winds in the eastern Tasman Sea Seas smooth to moderate, but risins in the southern portion. Weather—Fair to fine generally at first, bocoming unsettled lator ir. western and, far Southern districts, with some' rain. Temperatures cold to-nurlit, but rising to-morrow. DOMINION REPORTS. !
