Princess Helena Victoria attended the annual fete of Dr. Barnardo's Homes Young Helpers' League" at the': Royal A.lbert- Halt on Saturday and received purses in aia of the funds of the League and presented banners, badges, and 'shields<for conspicuous service. The chal* lenge banner wa« won by the Coventry habitation. The League has now a membership of 87,205. There are 2536 habitations and 2359 lodges. During 1930, 543'-cots - for sick, crippled, incurable, and deaf and dumb children were supported bjy the League in the various hospitals and special branches;: of the Homes. ''The groat audience which filled the Albert Hall had an opportunity of seeing many of the boys and girls of the various institutions perform in a very attractive programme, A choir of many hundreds sang anthems and songs. The programme included displays of drill, and dancing by boys of the Watts Naval Training School, and gymnastic exercises and' Morris dancing by boys of the Bnssell Coates Nautical School, A group of half a dozen boys performed gymnastics which would have, done credit' to a professional troupe. Then thesre was, maze marching by boys of the Boys' Garden City, and displays by Girl Guides of the Girls' Village Home.
