The match was drawn, South Africa thus winning the rubber. ■ Voce bowled short, the ball bumping over the' batsmen's heads. One ball crfught Siedle under the heart, and he collapsed temporarily. ' , . . . . . , , . Christy played a bright innings, but Mcllillan was the liveliest, his- six into, the stand off Hammond being an Herculean effort. Cameron« displaced the best variety of strokes. The English Welding was good. Cameron's declaration left England an hour to bat. Tate batted in his usual cavalier fashion. He hit three sixes off Mitchell's first over, one right over the pavilion, and there was some delay while the ball was recovered. Scores:—
