At the Dunedin Horticultural Society's Jubilee Show, which opened to-day, the Loder Cup\, for the best Collection of Now Zealand plants was won by Mr %. Bennett, of Broadacres, Dunedin* Ttltf display also won the New Zealand Institute of Horticulture Challenge Cup for the most meritorious exhibit in tha, show.
I The collection of native plants (all growing specimens) was a remarkable I one, approximately YOO exhibits of the i various North and South: Island species being staged. The outlying islands wefe trfso well represented. All the plants shown were I well-grown and seemed quite at home in their environment, i Olemisias (mountain daisies) were- the ( mo'st outstanding genA«. Evory speciea (50) described by Mr Oheesman in the i Manual of New Zealand Hora was represented, as Well as'more thatl twenty j others a« yet unnamed, "a work for i competent authorities in the, fijtuxci Stilbocarpas, anistomes, rafe veronicas* and olearias from Auckland, the.
