Auckland—A light southerly wind and fine weather prevailed at Auckland yesterday. Ihc barometer was steady after mid-day at 30.00.
Seas (New Zealand waters) —Rougfi about Cook apd Foveaux Straits; elsewhere moderate. t
Tasman Sea—South-west to north-west winds in, the eastern Tasmai); fresh to strong in the southern portion, with rather rough seas; elsewhere modorate, with smooth to moderate seas.
Weather—For.tlie most part fair to fine, and rather milder; but some scattered showers in the western and southern portions of the South Island.

"Wellington—A return of a light northerly wind warmed the air yesterday, after a cold sight. The sky was overcast most of the time; but- the sun appeared on occasions. At 7.45 p.m. it was commencing to rain. Dunedin—The weather again was unsettled iti Dunedin yesterday, with occasional showers in the morning and periods of sunshine in the afternoon. Forecast. • General Situation —An anti-cyclone is moving across the northern Tasman Sea, but a low-pressure wave was ' crossing the South Island yesterday.
