WHEAT MARKET EASIER. (BT -OUB COKIOCBOUX. XOROB.) 1 Tuesday Evening. I The wheat market has eased since t tho last report. Millers are still very little interested. For 'a particularly good sample 5s 3d on* trucks could be secured but nulling Tuscan - has been sold at less money," '* 1 There is a fair amount of movement in fowl-wheat, but' the quotations are now 4s Hid f.0.b., s.e.;"for prompt delivery, with a similar quotation for March delivery. Spread delivery is quoted at 5s f.0.b., s.e. It is stated that a considerable amount of the milling wheat coming forward is out of ■ condition^ Barley. The season is not far enough advanced yet to assist business in barley, but it is commencing to come into the picture. The . quotations indicate an easier position. Cape is quoted at 2s 9d to 3s on trucks, and good malting at 4s. Both those quotations are merely nominal. B Small Seeds. Y There have been no alterations in the f small seed quotations since the last re-; port. Reports are to hand of the crop ' in Otago and Southland. The. new. crop • of Chewings fescue has been'harvested r in Southland, despite a great deal of. ) interference by wet-"weather.; The crop j is a good - one and of • good ./quality seed., ; Perennial ryegrass- is to- be > a good crop in Southland and - Otago. ; r It is expected to be quoted at. round . about 2s 6d a bushel on trucks. , . Machine-dressed linos are worth 4s-6d ! f.o.b. for March-April delivery, i Of crested dogstail there has been a large carry-over, and merchants axe, [ showing little interest. It was stated recently at a bakers '< conference on the West Coast that the, price of flour \had advanced. It was stated officially to-day' that that, statement is incorrect, there having been no increase made since last May. Quotations.
