Auckland—Boisterous westerly weather prevailed at Auckland yesterday, and occasional light showers were experienced. The barometer was rising' in the evening and registered 29.80. 1 Wellington—Heavy rain fell yesterday morning, but in the afternoon there were only light showers. A light southerly which sprang up made the air cool. i)unedin—The weather was dull and overcast with occasional light showers in Dunedin yesterday morning, but the afternoon was fine. The wind was light from the south-west. The maximum temperature was 60 degrees. The barometer rose 1 during the day, and last evening it registered 29.65. , Forecast. General Situation—Barometers are now rising over Now Zealand under the influence of an anti-cyclone which is centred near Sydney, and - appear* to be moving towards the northern portion of the Dominion.
