MR HERBERT HANCOCK.

The death has occurred of Mr Herbert Hancock, proprietor of the Lower ■ Bicearton Hotel. ~Mr Hancock -was keenly interested in all forms of sport, but particularly in cricket, boxing, and trotting. He owned and raced many. well-known horses, these including Nancy Bingen and Bosie Nut. He was a member of •the Ohriatchurch Boxing Association. Mr Hancock, Commenced Jus connexion /with hotel-keeping ten years ago at Nelson, where he owned the Exchange Hotel.
