Sir Malcolm Campbell had a rousing reception from large crowds on his 6 arrival in London to-day. In West- .. minster Hall he was welcomed by the i- Minister for Transport (Mr Herbert F Morrison) and the ; Secretary of the 9 Department of Overseas Trade (Mr G. •j M. Gillett). Mr Morrison said Sir B Malcolm Campbell's record was an in- - valuable tribute to the efficiency of s British engineering. Sir Malcolm Campbell replied that he 1 was proud if he had helped to cement . the friendship between the United States and Great Britain's and to 7 uphold British traditions, j He was later given a 'reception at l the Automobile Club He said his success was due to the excellence of British workmanship.
