majestic theatre. "GOOD NEWS." SPARKLING MUSICAL COMEDY ON SCREEN. , J ,■ ■ There will be plenty o£ laughs and .plenty of good entertainment at the Majestic Theatre next week, for "Good News," the talkie version of the very successful, musical comedy of the same name, will begin there on Monday. "Good News" introduces-college life for its theme, but good acting lifts it right out of the'fffck, and the' catchy tunes of the stage production, and new ones as well, together with the sparkling dialogue also combine to keep this talkie almost in a class of its own. . - t There is a record musical score of 16 song hits, composed by that famous trio, Da Silva, Brown, and Henderson, and it includes ' 'Varsity Drag,'' ' 'The Best Things in Life are Free," and "Good, News." If this were not enough to ensure good entertainment, there is an excollent cast. Bessie Love has been seen in many fine films, but never to better appeal than in the loading role .of. "Good News." She, and Gus Shy are the life of this talking, singing,' and dancing farce comedy. Shy is an unusual typo of comedian, crisp and clean in method, and he belies his name;i and the two make a smart and. entertaining team that can challenge comparisonwith aqy musical comedy pair yet seen on the screen. .The two principals, though they have a droll love affair of their own, are off the track of real sentiment, which is served up in triangular form by Mary Lawlor, Lola Lane, and Stanley Smith, Anyone wanting to enjoy a simmer of amusement which will boil over when the love-shy duo is turned on'full is recommended to see "Good Newß." Box planß are now at The Bristol.
