Auckland —Ideal summer weather continued at Auckland yesterday, with a moderate light north-east breeze.'The barometer stood at 80.20 in. ■Wellington—A high northerly blew yester.' day, and the sun shone between passing clouds. Duuedin —The weather ; was cloudy and sv.ltry in Dunedin yesterdiy. The barometer fell slightly, and. last evening it read 29,75. A light north-east breeze sprang up about noon. The temperature was 69 degrees, ,■■■ .Forecast, General Situation—Though pressure is still rather < high in the north, the antiovclone. which has controlled the weather of tue past few days is gradually giving way before a depression advancing from the Tasman Sea. 1 ■ ' , ■ Winds—North t6 { north-west, generally moderate to strong and reaching gale force at times in exposed positions south of Cape JSgmont and Kapier. •• '•
Seas (New Zealand waters) —Bough south of Cape Egmont and in Cook and Foveaux Straits. Tasman Sea—Moderate to strong northerly winds in the eastern Taaman. tieu rather rough in northern, and rough in the southern portion. A southerly change after 24 to 86 hours. , ■ Weather—Still mainly fair to fine in eastern districts, and the far north; showery in southern districts and on the West Coast of the South Island, and later in parts nf Taranaki. Temperatures warm.
