Another veteran Survivor of 'the memorable martih from Kaßul to Kandahar is Mr Joseph Hill, of Northgate, Halifax. Although Mr Hill is '5, he is still hale arid hearty, and proudly exhibits his famous bronze star, "Kabul to Kandahar, 1880." At that time Mr Hill was in the 2nd Battalion of the 60th Regiment. He joined the army in 1877, arid saw service in India and South Africa.
