RANGIORA WATER SUPPLY.

LOAN PROPOSAL CARRIED. A poll on a proposal to raise a loan of £14,000 for a high-pressure water supply for the borough of Rangiora was held yesterday, and was, carried by a good majority. The water supply scheme does not take in the whole of the borough, but covers a special rating area. This is the fourth time that a poll has been taken oh different schemes submitted for a high-pressure water supply. One of the proposals on a former occasion was carried, but owing to the smallness of the poll it was not gone on with. ' The scheme placed before the ratepayers yesterday was drawn up bv Mr J. Stevens, who recently completed the borough sewerage.
