Germany's first real skyscraper is to be erected on the grounds of the Zeiss works in Jena. The plans, by the architect. Professor Emil Fahren Kara % of Dusseldorf, call for 24 storeys. Tbe building will be 280 ft high. A testing station for Zeiss instrument# and apparatus will be located on the roof. With the completion of the work Jena vrill have the highest office building not merely in Germany bat in Europe.
