LATE HON. JOHN BARR.

FUNERAL YESTERDAY. There was a large attendance at the funeral of the late Hon. John Barr, M.L.C., which took place yesterday, representatives being present from the New Zealand Government, various public bodies and organisations and Masonic Lodges. After a short service at his home at 62 Estuary road, Redcliffs, conducted bv the Rev. J. MSimpson, the cortege proceeded to the Bromley Cemetery, where the Rev. Mr Simpson again officiated and a Masonic service was conducted by W. Bro. W. J- Duff. The chief mourners were Messrs John Barr, Hugh Barr, Alec Barr, James Barr, David Barr, and William Barr (sons), A. V. G. Wilson (son-in-law), E. Gant, and G. A. Hammond. At the house the pall-bearers were the sons of Mr Barr and at the cemetery, Messrs H. Le Page (W. M. Lodge Sumner 242), C. M. Suckling, G. F. Allen, P.W.M., and G. W. C.
