OSCAR GARDEN.

FLIGHT TO NELSON. Mr Oscar Garden left the South Canterbury Aero Club's landing-ground at Washdyke at 6.20 a.m. yesterday for Nelson. He was accompanied by Captain Haig, the Vacuum Oil Company's pilot. Mr Oscar Garden and Captain Haig arrived by the Kia Ora, and Mr R. Palmer, by the Plume, at 2.15 at Kailcoura, and were extended a welcome by Mr James Boyd (County Chairman). They were entertained at afternoon tea by Mrs B. Mackle, sen. There was a largo gathering to witness the landing. The aeroplanes left at 3.15 for Blenheim. There was a fog around the mountains, and visibility w\s bad north of Kaikoura.
