MISSING SHEEP.

LOSSES IN THE BACK COUNTRY. At a meeting of the Loburn County Council Mr Margolish interviewed tlie Council in reference to the unexplained losses of large numbers of sheep from pastoral country. Members referred to occasional losses of hundreds of sheep from individual flocks. It was decided that the clerk should communicate with the Minister for Justice as to the possibility of police-patrol over large areas of back country.
