The. sand was being washed away from under the approaches, and a crust was being left which would constitute a danger. If delayed, repairs would entail a K'eat deal of expense. From £IOO to £l5O would have to bo set aside to enable repairs to be made. 110 considered that the bridge had not been well built. Cr. Ainsworth Said that it was a very serious matter, and he suggested that the District Public Works engineer should be asked to inspect the iiridge. Cr. Leaver moved that the engineer ulio built the bridge should be asked to furnish a report. The motion was seconded by Cr. Muirson and carried. The South Brighton bridge was completed in 1928, and cost £12,340.
