A light south-west wind Wag blowing. The baitometer has been falling, and is now 30.00. Wellington—Warm, sunny weather, "with a very light northerly breexe, made the weekend in Wellington one of the most pleasant since the winter. Dunedin—The weather was cloudy and fine in 'Dunedin on Saturday, with a fresh wind from the south-east. The maximum temperature was 77 degrees. The barometer was steady at 30.00. Yesterday the weather i web overcast all day, with a fresh southeasterly wind. The .maximum temperature was 75 degrees*. The barometer was falling slightly. Forecast. . General Situation—The position of the anticyclone over the Tasman Sea remains practically unchanged. Pressure is still low at the Chatham Islands, and a slight low pressure wave is also crossing the sonth Tasman. Forecast—Winds moderate and variable, with westerlies to southerlies prevailing, and freshening somewhat Irom Cook Strait southward. Seas (Xew Zealand water's) —Generally smooth to moderate, but rather rough south, of Castlepoint. Tasman Sea—Light to moderate eoutherly winds in the northern portion of the eastern Tasman Sea. Westerlies to southerlies in the southern portion. Seas smooth to moderate. Weather—-Still mainly fair to cloudy and hary, but some isolated showers likely, more especially on the west coast of the South 1 Island and in the far north and south.
