WAIMAIRI SURF CLUB.
The Waimairi Surf Club was favoured with excellent weather for thair official opening. In the unavoidable absence of Mr W. P. Spencer, Mr H. Watts (vice-president) congratulated the club on its progress and the fact that, 'hough only two years old, it al w ready had a membership o! 200. He declared the season opened. Mr Berry (club captain; also spoke, urging all who used the beach to join the club. A^»run-out with a four-man team in th® Sun took place, after which afternoon was served to members and visitors.
