Gulbransen -and Just in time for Xmasf 1 SOLE AGENTS: setld sOV I am SS- 1 Robert Francis Ltd. - CHRISTCHURCH

The new synagogue of Berlin's Jewish congregation, situated in the Prinzregeutenstrasse, was recently consecrated. A striking feature is an iron curtain, which can be raised trora the floor to cut off the apse, with its "holy of holies." The building is thus available also for secular purposes, such as lectures and concerts. This represents a return to traditions, for the ancient synagogues were at the same time centres of learning an<J meeting places of the congregation. The now synagogue has a monumental dome nearly 100 ft in diameter, the largest in Berlin. The main auditorium seats 2000 persons.
