PUBLIC STATEMENT PROMISED. (PBEBB ASSOCIATION TXUtOSmt.) • AUCKLAND, December 5. Something definite regarding the Government's . intentions concerning Arapuni may be expected from the Minister for Public Works soon. During negotiations in Wellington this week with the chairman of the Auckland Electric Power Board, the Hon. W. 8.. Taverner said that in the course of a few days he would make a public sf.ntement as to the Government's intentions about the whole scheme.
