Gaol medical advices, however, are that forced feeding is not necessary yet. RATIONING OF WORK. SYDNEY, December 5. The Seamen's Union in Sydney has passed a resolution in favour of rationing. For instance, where a man has been in employment continuously on any vessel for, say, six months, he must stand aside for an unemployed member of the Union. A significant fact is that the meeting was attended overwhelmingly by idle seamen. The shipowners regard the resolution as a contravention of the award. ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL. LONDON. December 4.
